That’s absolutely fine.
You might know that you’re frustrated, overwhelmed, stuck or dissatisfied without knowing why. Or you may have a very clear presenting problem but suspect there is something else underneath it.
That’s where a good coaching conversation can be particularly useful
Is coaching therapy?
No. Coaching and therapy are different disciplines, although my training in counselling and psychotherapy informs the depth with which I listen and understand what people bring.
Coaching is generally focused on your present circumstances and what you want to understand, change or move towards. Therapy may be more appropriate when someone needs to work specifically with mental health, trauma or experiences from the past.
If I ever felt that something other than coaching would better support you, I would say so.
How do I know if we’re a good fit?
You don’t need to decide from a website.
Coaching is a relationship, and the quality of that relationship matters enormously. You need to feel that you can be open with me, that I’ll listen without judgement, and that I’m someone you can trust to challenge you when necessary.
That’s why I offer a free 30-minute chemistry conversation before we decide whether to work together.
There is no obligation to continue. It’s simply a chance for us to meet, talk about what you’re looking for and see how it feels to talk with one another.
